Exploring the Haunted Depths: Our Paranormal Investigation Aboard the USS Salem

In our latest paranormal adventure, we ventured aboard the USS Salem, a decommissioned heavy cruiser now docked in Quincy, Massachusetts. Known as the “Sea Witch,” the USS Salem has garnered a reputation as one of the most haunted ships in the United States.

Commissioned in 1949, the USS Salem served as the flagship for the U.S. Sixth Fleet in the Mediterranean and the Second Fleet in the Atlantic. Though she never fired her weapons in combat, the ship played a crucial role during the Cold War era. After her decommissioning in 1959, the Salem was transformed into a museum ship, preserving her rich history for future generations.

Our investigation took us through the ship’s narrow corridors and dimly lit compartments, areas where numerous paranormal encounters have been reported. The kitchen is said to be maintained by the spirit of a former cook, who ensures everything remains in order.
